Every entity, one view
Thirty LLCs usually means thirty bank logins, a balance spreadsheet and approvals by text. Coffer replaces that with one platform shaped like your entity structure. Treasury comes first; the rest of the bank follows.
Consolidated cash
Every entity's accounts in one place. Roles are granted per entity, so an accountant sees only the entities they serve.
Dual-control payments
Book transfers, ACH credits and domestic wires. Every payment needs an initiator and a separate approver before it reaches the bank.
Verified payees
One person enters a payee, another verifies it, and a cooling-off period passes before it can be paid. New bank details mean a new payee.
Categorization and GL sync
Rules first, human review for the rest, then sync to the ledger. Transfers between your own entities book as intercompany.
Controls that hold
Most payment fraud is a controls failure: a changed bank detail, a rushed approval, one person with too much access. Coffer enforces these rules in the application and again in the database.
- Dual control on every paymentA second person, behind a passkey, in the web app only.
- Exact-amount confirmationThe initiator confirms the amount to the cent. Unconfirmed drafts expire in minutes.
- Immutable after confirmationAmount, parties, rail, date and memo are locked. To change one, cancel and start over.
- Limits per person, per entityNo limits on record, no initiating. Checked at confirmation and again at approval.
- A hard per-transfer ceilingA platform maximum, independent of bank limits. Customers can lower it, never raise it.
- Tamper-evident audit trailAppend-only, hash-chained per customer, anchored daily outside the database.
- No blind retriesAn ambiguous bank response stops the payment until it is resolved. Nothing is resent on a guess.
- Automation proposes, people decideAutomation can draft a payment. Only people confirm, approve or add a payee.
Roadmap
The whole bank, one entity at a time

Every product launches as the partner-bank and regulatory approvals for it are in place.
How we operate
- Not a bank. Coffer is a financial technology company. Accounts are held at partner banks.
- Your entities' money, in your entities' names. No pooled or omnibus accounts.
- Controls first. No product ships without dual control and a tamper-evident audit trail.
- Outbound only, for now. Coffer does not pull money from third parties.
Where we are
- Private development. Not generally available; not taking sign-ups.
- Our portfolio first. We run many entities ourselves. They run on Coffer under the same rules as any customer.
- Bank partners. We are talking with banks whose APIs fit this model. If that is you, get in touch.
